- 3 partners, looking for a 4th partner (which may consist of 1-2 individuals)
- ~40 tickets (# tickets flexible) available for 4th partner, which may consist of 1-2 individuals. 4th partner could be:
- One individual taking on ~40 tickets
- Two individuals taking on ~20 tickets each
- Games could be for either 2-tickets or 4-tickets. For example:
- six 2-tix games and two 4-tix games = 20 tickets
- twelve 2-tix games and four 4-tix games = 40 tickets

* IGNORE TICKET ALLOCATION METHOD BELOW (it requires an entry to go forward and submit)
- Premium games/tickets are divided evenly based on # of tickets each partner has
- Preferences are taken into account (i.e. specific games, 2-tix or 4-tix per game, weekends vs weekdays, blackout dates (vacation, conferences, weddings/graduations, etc.), etc.).

* We've been doing this since 2001, ranging from having 3 partners to 9 partners, and we've never had any major issues satisfying everyone as everyone involved is open to compromise. Having 4 tix to each game and allowing for 2 tix to a game to an individual provides much needed flexibility.

* Again, IGNORE TICKET ALLOCATION METHOD BELOW (it requires an entry to go forward and submit)

How will my games get determined?

For this listing, you would offer to purchase a certain number of games and tickets from the Season Ticket Holder. The actual games and tickets you would get would be determined at a later date using the the following method:

In Person Draft
New partner will participate in an In Person Draft. Draft will be held at a time and date agreeable to the majority of partners. If a partner cannot attend a date, efforts shall be made to ensure partners picks are fairly selected (for example, ability to call in selection, or the option to send another person to make picks). Draft picks will be based on the number of games each partner is purchasing. Draft Order will be set fairly giving all partners a pick in the first round and the remaining picks will be fairly determined based on the proportion of games owned by each partner. The Draft Order shall NOT unfairly benefit or harm any partner(s). All games and tickets shall be included in the draft.

Yes the make an offer option is now available. When do you normally collect payment from the group. I can enter that date and have payment to you by then.
  • i've already collected the payment from the others. however, if you prefer to wait until january (after the holidays), that's fine as well. we usually don't determine the schedule until march when people have a better idea what their preferences are for the upcoming year (e.g. vacations, etc.). however, as i mentioned if you have game(s) that you already know you are interested in, feel free to let me know once we complete the agreement. the cost is ~$55/ticket. so you may make an offer for 20 tix ($1100), or if less, simply make the adjustment (e.g. 18 tix = $990).

Thank you for the update. Happy Thanksgiving!
  • tom - now that the 2018 NYY season ticket sharing has been activated, hopefully this will lead to us getting each other's contact info. i'm hoping the moderator is reviewing this and can help us with this.

Hi, so far the Yankees have not offered any assistance or answers on how to proceed. It seems to me the best way to proceed is if you can have your listing verified by the Yankees. Once your listing has been verified by the Yankees the site allows me to make an offer. Once an offer is made and accepted the Yankees will send us each others contact information. Let me know if you are able to this so I can make the offer that we previously discussed. Thx Tom
  • i am reaching out to our yankees ticket sales rep to help us with the next step. hopefully, he can get us going in the right direction.

  • tom - i reached out to our yankees ticket sales rep (george stone). he's working on it. will continue to keep you updated as soon as i hear.

Thanks again for your response. I am fine with your pricing method no need to calculate each ticket. This is new to me but if possible I would like to join the group. How do we proceed? When and how is payment submitted? When does the game selection take place? How will I receive my tickets? At this purchase level ( 20 Tickets) will I be considered for playoff tickets? Audi club? Please feel free to provide any other important information I may not be asking. Thanks again.
  • thomas - sounds good. - i'm not sure how we proceed. maybe the yankees personnel who reviews this message board can let us know. - i'm not sure exactly how payments are done. usually, each member of the group simply sends me a check. however, i am not sure how it works on this website, if the payment goes through them. again, maybe the yankees personnel who reviews this message board can let us know. - game selection takes place in feb/march when everyone submits their preferences/blackout dates to me and i try to accommodate everyone if possible. if there happens to be a conflict (e.g. everyone is interested in the game vs. NY Mets), then usually seniority/larger # of games bought are given priority. as much as possible, we try to divide the premium games (e.g. vs. BOS, NYM, etc.) in proportion to each person's share of the season tix package. for example, if there are 3 people in the group with equal shares (~54-56 tix for the season) and there are 7 premium games (28 tix), each of the three people will roughly get ~8-10 tickets to the premium games. thus, even if one has half a share, they should still be able to have access to a premium game. - if you get the opportunity, check out the schedule with your father. many of the times are TBD, but if there's a special date(s) that you already know you are interested in, you might be able to make that determination of game(s) you may be interested in. let me know and i will review with group. it's early so i doubt everyone knows their 2018 schedule. however, if we can guarantee a couple of the dates you are interested in in good faith, that might make you feel more comfortable. - given 20 tix (1/2 share), no playoff tickets are guaranteed. since we have the half-season (41 games) package, we are also allotted tickets to only every other home game in the postseason, which was essentially only one game to each of the playoff rounds that the yankees played this past season. - yes, we have access to the Audi club and 1893 Club with our tickets.

Thank you for your response. Of course cost is a factor but I am looking for approximately ten games or twenty tickets. The four ticket option for a game or two is also possible. Not sure whats available but I would like at least a couple of the games to be day games. Weekend days are ideal but a weekday getaway day game could also work. My goal is to bring my 84 year old dad to a game or two thats the reason for the day game request. Otherwise I am flexible. Let me know Thx
  • ~20 tickets (which would be ~8-10 games) works just fine. The average cost of each ticket is similar to last year = $55.10/ticket ($2259/one seat for 41 games). The Yankees went to 'dynamic pricing' for the first time in 2017, with the range in ticket price for different games +/- a few dollars. We've used $55/ticket for all games in calculating our cost as it generally evens out at the end and it's easier to calculate. However, if you feel you'd like to calculate your cost using the exact face value of your designated tickets, i can try to do that (but it would take longer because we may not find out the face value of each of the tickets until we are a couple of weeks before the beginning of the season). Let me know what you think. the 41-game ticket schedule is out for next season ( Obviously, the times are all TBD at this time. Usually, people submit their blackout dates (e.g. vacations/conferences/out-of-town/etc. and/or any special preferences (e.g day games as you mentioned, 2-/4-tix, specific dates, specific opponent teams, etc.) after the game times are released closer to when the season begins (early 2018). So, this should give your father more than enough time to give you a few games that may work for him (and you). Any questions, feel free to ask.

Is this offer available for the 2018 season
  • This was originally posted for 2017 season. However, how many tickets would you be interested in - ~12-30 tickets (combination of either 2-tickets or 4-tickets to games) during the season? if so, then I think we can make it work. Seats are ideal - 1st row, right in front of the railing.
